Bjarne Møller-Madsen

Bjarne Møller-Madsen, MD, DMSci is a distinguished paediatric orthopaedic surgeon, academic, and educator with a longstanding commitment to advancing orthopaedics in Europe and beyond.

Formerly Senior Consultant at Aarhus University Hospital and Clinical Professor at Aarhus University, he has combined clinical excellence with a strong dedication to medical education and academic leadership.

A long-standing member of EPOS since 1996, Professor Møller-Madsen has played a central role in the Society’s development, notably serving as Chair of the Educational Committee, Vice-President, and President (2015–2016). He has been instrumental in shaping educational initiatives, including founding the EPOS BAT programme, and has supported the wider orthopaedic community through leadership roles within EFORT, the Nordic Orthopaedic Federation, and the Danish Orthopaedic Society.

In recognition of his exceptional contributions to paediatric orthopaedics, education, and the EPOS community, he is awarded the Pro Maximis Meritis distinction.
